Wow! We're such a busy club that we now have a Past Events page on this site. If you're looking for the stories and photos from the events we had earlier this year, you might want to look here.
On May 30-31, we held the very first Northeast Bearded Collie Specialty at the Ladies' Dog Club show in Wrentham, MA. The venture was a joint effort by the Bearded Collie Club of Maine and the Minuteman Bearded Collie Club. We had food, fun, and five-point majors -- who could ask for more? Even the weather cooperated (mostly).
Heartfelt thanks to the members of both clubs who came to the show and helped, offered food and items for the raffle, got the word out to their Beardie buddies "from away," and otherwise helped this show become a success. Special congratulations and thanks go to Show Chair Kathy Walsh, Hospitality Chair Debbie Smith, and Trophy Chair Val Maloney -- as well as to all of the other folks who pitched in and really showed the Beardie community what we can do.
We had such a quantity and variety of food that we could put together sumptuous feasts for both days of shows, and the raffle brought in a pretty decent sum of money for both clubs (final figures will be posted soon). The dogs looked wonderful, the people had fun, and we hope everybody went home happy. Thanks again to everyone who helped this event happen!
Congratulations to all of our winners, and thanks to Kandis Swan for being our Sweepstakes judge!

BCCME Supported Entries at YCKC, May 2-3
Val and Fiona
A Good Time Was Had By All!
For the third year in a row, BCCME is held a Supported Entry for Bearded Collies at the York County Kennel Club show. This was the last year that YCKC will hold an independent show at this location. Since we decided to form the club after a get-together at YCKC's 2006 show, this is a part of club history.
We offered some gorgeous trophies hand-painted by Val and some mighty nice rosettes to winners, plus we gave out our traditional free lobsters to all Beardies entered at the show.
Congratulations to our winners!
