5/3-4/08: Our second annual Supported Entry at the York County Kennel Club shows. The weather wasn't all we could have hoped for, but we had a good time -- especially at The Weathervane after Saturday's show!
4/15/08: The two latest raffles are on the Web site. The BCCME Nominating Committee met and returned the slate of officers and Board members who wish to be included on the upcoming July ballot. Thanks to everyone who volunteered to stay on another year! If you want to run for any office, it's not too late to get on the ballot. Contact Karen, Chair of the Nominating Committee, before July 1. Elections will be held July 19 at the BBQ.

2/23/08: Val holds her Beginning Animal Communication Workshop at Gardens of Atlantis. The workshop raised about $100 for the club, and people have already been asking for another one.

7/21/07: We held our Second Annual Beardie Bounce and BBQ at Val and Pat's house. 25 humans and 24 dogs attended. We also held our annual membership meeting. You can view the meeting minutes here. More details and photos from the BBQ are here.

5/7/07: We made it through our very first Supported Entry at the York County Kennel Club show! We had 13 conformation entries (one absent), one obedience entry, and four rally entries. Come see our Events page for all the details. In addition, our silent auction raised almost $500.00 for the club!
4/2/07: Added the first brags of the year.
3/1/07: Congratulations to our raffle winners! Thanks to you, we've raised over $460.00 for the club!
2/21/07: The IRS has approved our application to become a 501(c) 4 non-profit organization.

1/20/07: We hold our Post-Holiday Potluck and Beardie Bash in Saco.
12/19/06: The 50-50 raffle raised $110.00. Congratulations to our winners!
11/21/06: Our holiday 50-50 raffle is underway! Come visit the Raffle page!
11/1/06: Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our members and friends, we've raised over $350.00 for our treasury in the October raffle!
10/27/06: Our IRS paperwork has been filed, so we are on our way to becoming a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. This means that we can accept charitable contributions soon!
10/10/06: The BCCME Raffle is up and running.
10/7/06: We hold our Rally Fun Day in Saco.
9/13/06: The BCCA Board has approved our request to become an official regional club of the Bearded Collie Club of America. Woo hoo!
9/6/06: We are now incorporated as a non-profit in the State of Maine, and we have a club bank account.
8/31/06: Our Tax ID number has arrived, so we may open our club bank account and deposit all those membership checks and auction proceeds!
8/16/06: Our legal paperwork is complete and ready to be submitted so we can become a registered non-profit. In addition, Val and Karen plan to meet with the BCCA Board at the Specialty to apply for official regional club status.
7/28/06: The Bearded Collie Club of Maine Mercantile goes live on Cafepress.com.
7/27/06: Uploaded new Bylaws. This revision contains provisions for Junior memberships.
7/23/06: We held our first BCCME meeting, with 17 attendees. The By-Laws will not be accepted until after the non-profit paperwork has been filed. The Constitution can be accepted, however.
7/18/06: The BCCME Constitution and Bylaws have been created in draft form, and will be voted upon at the meeting on the 23rd.
7/11/06: We're having our first Beardie Bash & BBQ on Sunday, July 23!

6/1/06: The BCCME Web site goes live for the first time.
5/14/06: The final poll on the BeardieMainiacs list shows the winning club name as The Bearded Collie Club of Maine.
4/29/06: a group of interested BeardieMainiacs met to discuss the formation of a local Bearded Collie Club here in Maine.
